ATI Project design state-of-the-art sports complex & academy
Construction has begun for the new Pisa Training Centre designed by Tenderstream member ATI Project. Covering 121,900 sq m in the heart of the city, the facility will offer host the men’s and women’s first football teams, alongside the youth sector, offering training and enhancing their potential throughout the year in an environment designed for sporting excellence.
The project features a club headquarters, residentual units for players, a retail store, and a dining area. The seven new pitches will include a mini arena built according to requirements for women’s first team and Primavera football club matches. Additional facilities will feature smaller training fields, specialised training areas, strength and athletic preparation zones, and dedicated spaces for the academy to nurture young talents.
Born from Pisa Sporting Club’s ambition to establish an infrastructure that reflects its aspirations and commitment to the local area, the project is based on the goal of establishing a modern, sustainable, and seamlessly integrated centre within the city. ATI Project intend to create a cutting-edge technical facility that will also serve as a gathering place open to fans, offering services and shared experiences.
Club president Giuseppe Corrado states: "We can finally begin to see our projects and our club development ideas realised through a state-of-the-art sports centre, inspired by the best European examples. The path was complex, but in the end our desire to give Pisa an indispensable structure to grow at a sporting level and represent national and international excellence was rewarded. The Pisa Training Centre will not only be our talent factory and the place to prepare for Sunday's successes, but also a meeting point to share joys and difficulties with the whole community."
